We aim to partner with
local Chicago Public Schools, to provide our
Grow In Kindness program with students in kindergarten to 3rd grade. Issuing free copies of the book and journal to help
aid students in Literacy, and Social Emotional Learning success.

According to Forbes If You Teach Children To Be Kind You Get Better Results In Class,  study shows the benefits of being kind are even enough to offset the early educational disadvantage experienced by children from deprived backgrounds. “Supporting positive social behavior may be one way to foster children’s academic success where the odds are against them.”

Become an individual or corporate sponsor. Being able to provide a free copy of the book and journal to all students in attendance, helps with the success of our Grow In Kindness program. Click Here to see our sponsorship levels, or click here to make a donation.

Meet Bobbee Denise, the inspiring children’s book author and mom of Benji, who believes that kindness can change the world. Born and raised in Chicago’s Englewood community, Bobbee has a humble heart as big as the Windy City’s skyline. She is the founder of Hey Benji, a nonprofit organization that helps children and families in underserved communities located on the south side of Chicago.

Bobbee’s passion for giving back to her community started at a young age when she witnessed and helped her grandparents –Mother Jimmie Will Butler and Bishop Stephen K. Butler –support families in the West Englewood community. Whether it was offering a warm meal or a safe place to play after school, Bobbee saw firsthand how their kindness impacted the community. Bobbee believes every child deserves a safe and positive space to grow and thrive. It’s her mission to support children in underserved neighborhoods with engaging summer programming and healthy, nutritious meals. She wants to empower kids to make a difference in their own communities, just like she has.

She hopes Benji Learns Kindness inspires young readers to be the difference they want to see in the world. Her message is simple but powerful: “We can all make a difference, by being the difference.” With Bobbee’s contagious energy and warm spirit, it’s easy to see why she’s making a positive impact on so many lives.
